TEETH!

As Jane requested, here's a photo of Sore.n's teeth. Although I claimed there was a third one peeking out, now I'm not so sure. It may just be a whitehead of the gums. I realize there's probably no such thing, but that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. The front bottom two are growing daily, however. Take a look!

In other news, my AF returned this week. I felt some vague cramping (luckily, not (yet) the kind of intestine-ripping endometriosis cramps that I'd grown to know and love since they gave me some insight into how one might feel if one were shiv-ed in the prison cafeteria), but otherwise it was a complete surprise. This now means I need to think about whether to go on any sort of BCP in the (likely vain) hopes of controlling the endometriosis. We also need to think about when we want to try to produce baby numero dos, if such a thing is even in the cards. We'll see.

And now, a question: what are your children's favorite books? Right now, Sore.n appreciates most books equally since he views them as teethers, but my personal favorites are There's a Wocket in My Pocket, But Not the Hippopotamus, Goodnight Moon, and these two really nifty books.

We love the pigeon books by Mo Willems. Nathan is four months so he doesn't really care what we read, but the adults love'em!

But Not the Hippopotamus is one of the Mini's favorites. He loves the way I read it. It makes him laugh. He also loves The Belly Button Book. He's been on a Sandra Boynton kick lately, but I think it's because they all have the same basic illustrations and he can turn the pages. He also seems to like Where the Wild Things Are, because he's got a WTWTA growth chart and he recognizes the monsters. He also seems to like Goodnight Moon and anything with Elmo.

Oh and if you haven't read Click Clack Moo or any of that series, he loves those.

We're still waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) for tooth #2 to finally break through. He grows them slow.

Look at those choppers! What a handsome boy.

In other news, I threw up yesterday. Still no major morning sickness, which is making me nervous, but the smell of the cat's food was more than I could take.

Excellent picture!

You know, I had the same third tooth experience with Clio. I could have sworn I saw a third one coming in, and then the next day there was nothing. Then it happened again. Very odd.

As for books, I have no idea which books my girls actually like (as opposed to the ones I like) but they seem to dig stuff that rhymes and has a rhythmic, lilting beat. Boynton's "The Going to Bed Book" is good for this. As is "Jamberry." I'm a fan of Wocket, too. I also have my Mom's old 1950s copy of Seuss's little-known but excellent "If I ran the Circus."
