Wonderful news all around.

Boo for the high possibility of PPD, but as someone who is also a prime candidate, I think the best thing to do is be prepared -- have a support system ready ahead of time (i.e. a doctor on board that you can call if you're not doing well, a partner who can recognize the warning signs and be supportive, etc.)Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15041039260443501706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31655933.post-1165644337466336732006-12-08T22:05:00.000-08:002006-12-08T22:05:00.000-08:00Well, that's a relief! And congrats on the boy!! ;)

Not sure what to say to the "prime candidate for PPD" ....ummmm, that's not a very nice thing to say, is it?! LOL

Hopefully not -- although I DO know that unfortunately women who have gone through IF ARE more likely to end up with PPD -- how nice for us, hey?!

Good luck with everything!

xx
Nillanoelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12313290934169061756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31655933.post-1165631252538788202006-12-08T18:27:00.000-08:002006-12-08T18:27:00.000-08:00Awesome news, congrats again, though not about the...Awesome news, congrats again, though not about the postpartum depression, but I do hope you get to see that doc.TLBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00528402228927046821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31655933.post-1165628443270588102006-12-08T17:40:00.000-08:002006-12-08T17:40:00.000-08:00I agree with hopeful--the Brooke Shields book is a...I agree with hopeful--the Brooke Shields book is a good read. I would be happy to send you mine that is collecting dust on my shelf. Personally I think most women have PPD but are to timid to "complain" especially after infertility....good call on your doc's part :)OHNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03856294075428012923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31655933.post-1165599956400686972006-12-08T09:45:00.000-08:002006-12-08T09:45:00.000-08:00Congrats!!Congrats!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31655933.post-1165599341623607242006-12-08T09:35:00.000-08:002006-12-08T09:35:00.000-08:00Congrats on the good FISH results. I can only imagine how I will feel if I ever make it to pregnancy - it is just incredible how many things there are (or that we can find) to worry about, whether it's in treatment itself, in pregnancy or in post-partum.

Here comes my assvice - have you read Brooke Shields' book "Down Comes the Rain?" I found it to be really interesting. Whether you're a fan of her as a celeb or not, the book is a pretty good read for a preg. IF, in my opinion.Hopeful Motherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15339776324264791028noreply@blogger.com
